OCEANOGRAPHIC COLLECTIONS COMMITTEE

The duties of this committee include (a) ensuring that no important collection of materials remains uncared-for, (b) outlining requirements for appropriate facilities for the collections and the researchers directly using them, (c) developing means to standardize and integrate the handling of information on the collections, where appropriate, and (d) acting as liaison between the users and the managers of the collections.
